Julia Heshemieh: President and CEO, Bay Area Surgical Management

Julia Heshemieh, a seasoned healthcare executive, has consistently driven operational excellence and strategic expansion. Since the inception of Bay Area Surgical Management in 2003, she has successfully led the company to become a key player in surgical care throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Under her stewardship, BASM has expanded to include 18 surgery centers, establishing a solid reputation for quality and patient-centered care within the surgical community.
Ms. Heshemieh skillfully manages all aspects of the organization, from financial stewardship and regulatory compliance to strategic business development. Her forward-thinking strategies have revitalized underperforming centers and fortified the organization’s financial standing, positioning BASM as one of the fastest-growing healthcare enterprises in California, celebrated for its outstanding patient care and economic success.

Holding a Master’s degree in Economics from San Jose State University, Ms. Heshemieh’s dedication to continuous advancement aligns seamlessly with BASM’s mission to provide the most advanced, innovative, and compassionate healthcare.
